Happy Hour is making it cool again to meet people in real life! In an age that encourages mindless swiping and highly curated profiles, our goal is to re-connect our community through fun, casual, and low pressure events.
We cater our events to different ages and preferences, and we are always looking for ways to shake things up! Inclusivity is extremely important to Happy Hours. Through our feedback forms and online engagement with our community, we continuously introduce new event types based on demand.
Recently, we have expanded our event list to include New Friend & Gal Pal Game Nights. We know that making new friends after school and outside of the workplace can be just as challenging as finding love. Our casual game nights provide a fun and low-pressure way to meet new people.
Our mission is to create a safe and positive environment where attendees feel comfortable being vulnerable and open to meeting new people. Happy Hours has a zero-tolerance policy for rude, intolerant, or hateful behavior. Any participant who disregards this policy will be asked to leave and banned from future events. We have no time for hate. ✌🏽
Our low-pressure, relaxed events are designed to foster genuine connections. Each participant selects individuals they wish to connect with after the event on their match card. This system eliminates the awkwardness of feeling pressured to give out your contact information during the event. If you select someone and they select you back, Happy Hours will send you an email the next day with their contact information. Every participant receives a follow-up email, regardless of matches!
We believe that any good relationship starts with two people choosing each other and continuing to choose each other. Each participant can submit as many or as few matches as they like, based on who they vibed with. We do not believe in forcing people to select a certain number of matches, as that does not set the relationship up for success.
We are very selective with our venues, as the environment sets the tone for our events. We have had the privilege of working with several local breweries and businesses, striving to create events that also stimulate the local economy. Supporting local is extremely important to us.

Our events require balanced ratios, and pre-selling tickets ensures we have the right ratios to run them successfully. All of our events are currently listed on our website and Eventbrite. However, if you purchase directly from our website, you can save on Eventbrite fees.

We are a progressive speed dating company that believes mutual consent is the only way to go! If you select someone and they select you back, both parties will receive each other’s contact information the next day. We only share first names and the phone number provided by the participant.
A mutual match increases the chances of a successful connection. Our love stories begin with both individuals choosing each other, and we hope that choice continues as their relationship grows.

Each conversation lasts about five minutes, but we don’t start the timer until all participants have moved to the next table. Ultimately, you will have 5 to 7 minutes with each attendee.

You can wear whatever makes you feel comfortable! We believe that the most successful connections happen when individuals feel both comfortable and confident.
Most of our venues are casual establishments. We recommend dressing as if you’re going out for a nice dinner—polished but not overly formal.
We encourage you to put your best foot forward and dress as you would for a first date. After all, first impressions matter!

You will receive your matches within 24 hours of the event! We strive to send each participant their results by 2 PM the next day. If we have multiple events on the same night, 4 PM is the latest you will receive them.

We do not share emails or last names. You will receive an email with your match’s first name and the phone number they provided.

Speed dating relies heavily on balanced ratios, and last-minute cancellations can impact both the event’s success and overall experience. For this reason, we do not offer refunds for any reason.
However, if you provide at least 48 hours’ notice before the event, we will allow you to transfer your ticket to a future event.

Ticket prices include the event and one beverage. Each venue offers a non-alcoholic option for those who prefer it.
Some events may have different offerings, but the majority will include a beverage.

We currently run events in Hamilton, Guelph, Kitchener, London, Brantford, and Niagara.

We offer a variety of age ranges to accommodate different preferences. Our general rule of thumb is a two-year leeway above and below the listed age bracket for each event.
If you fall outside of that range, you will need to attend an event that aligns with your age group.
